Yeovil Town take the short trip southbound to the Avenue Stadium to face Dorchester Town F.C. (7pm KO)

For the third consecutive pre-season, the Glovers will face the Magpies in friendly action.

With the remaining friendly fixtures taking place behind closed doors, tonight’s friendly will be the final opportunity for Yeovil fans to support the green and whites in person.

Last time we met

Last year’spre-season saw a 1-1 draw between the two sides in the early weeks of Sarll’s tenure as Yeovil manager.

Then trialist Myles Hippolyte won and took the penalty which secured a draw for the travelling Glovers.

Injury news

After missing out last week against Taunton, Darren Sarll will be hopeful to see the return of a number of first team stars.

Lawson D’Ath, Lee Collins and Dan Leadbitter all sat out against the Peacocks with Luke Wilkinson making a return at the Cygnet Health Stadium after taking a small knock against Frome Town.

A foot in the opposition camp

After struggling for the majority of the 2019/20 season, Dorchester Town were one of the few non-league clubs relieved the season was abandoned.

Sitting bottom for large portions of the season, the Magpies will remain in the Southern League despite being bottom when the season was ended due to the impacts of COVID-19.

Manager Leigh Robinson will be hopeful he can turn things around with the league season a matter of days away, beginning against our previous friendly opponents Weston-super-Mare this Saturday.
