Yeovil Town Women clinched the Somerset Division One Title without even stepping onto the pitch last Sunday.

Their planned match against Syndeham Rangers was called off on Thursday due to insufficient players, resulting in Syndeham conceding the fixture and awarding Yeovil Town Women all three points.

This meant that if Banwell failed to secure victory in their match against Nailsea United, Yeovil Town Women would claim the league title in their debut season – and that’s exactly what happened. Nailsea United triumphed 5-2, sealing Banwell’s fate and confirming Yeovil Town Women as champions.

Since their revival in 2023, Yeovil Town Women have been unstoppable, winning all 14 of their league games with an impressive goal difference of +69.

With just four league games remaining, Yeovil Town Women have one last showdown at home against Paulton Rovers on Sunday 24th March, to be played at Somerton Town.

In other exciting news, celebrations were in full swing for Yeovil Town Women’s Development Team, who triumphed in the Somerset Division Two South Title race with a commanding 3-0 victory on the road against Wellington.
