The tricky winger netted the opener at Huish Park in his first start in seven matches before Olufela Olomola scored his sixth of the season to wrap up three points.
Ex-Grimsby Town man Browne was chosen as the game’s man of the match and although happy with the accolade, the victory was more enjoyable.
“Individually I’m very pleased but it is more about the team than me,” he told iFollow Glovers.
“To get back to winning ways is the most important thing after two losses. The way we did it shows what we’re capable of.
“It definitely gives us a boost but we won’t get too high from it, and we’ll try and stay level-headed going into Tuesday’s game (at Cambridge United).
“It’s good the games are coming thick and fast because we don’t get to dwell on what’s happened; we keep moving on and getting better.”
