A point would ensure EFL status for both sides, who remain outside of the immediate battle to beat the drop with Town sat a single place above Rovers in 19th.
Postponed over Easter due to a waterlogged pitch, Tuesday’s encounter will be the third match between the two sides this season.
In a dramatic trip to the New Lawn back in August the Glovers ended up 4-3 losers, before exacting revenge with a comfortable 2-0 Checkatrade Trophy win at Huish Park in January.
Aiming for successive wins over Rovers, Town will be boosted by the return of top scorer Francois Zoko who served the last of his four-match suspension at Notts County on Saturday.
Dan Alfei, James Bailey, Artur Krysiak (all knee) and Jake Gray (ankle) remain sidelined, joined by Ryan Dickson (ankle) who limped off at Meadow Lane. Sam Surridge (hamstring) could make a return.
For Mark Cooper’s side, they make the short journey south on the back of consecutive wins.
Top scorer Christian Doidge (24 goals) will lead the line, backed up by former Glovers Reuben Reid (six goals) and Tahvon Campbell (two goals).
Head-to-head
Tuesday will be the first league meeting between the two sides at Huish Park since 2003.
Kirk Jackson scored the only goal of the game as Town took a step closer to promotion from the National League.
Overall in league meetings, the Glovers have five wins compared to Forest Green’s four.
Officials
John Brooks (Leicestershire) will be the man in the middle at Huish Park.
It will be Mr Brooks’ second trip to Somerset this season, having overseen Town’s 2-0 Emirates FA Cup win over Bradford in January.
The Leicestershire official will be assisted by Christopher Husband (Worcestershire) and Dean Treleaven (West Sussex) with Sam Allison (Wiltshire) acting as fourth official.
