Manager Paul Sturrock has confirmed that both Chris Weale and Artur Krysiak are to remain at Yeovil Town.
Speaking to ytfc.net the manager said: "Artur and Chris will both be returning to Yeovil Town for pre-season training on Friday.
"They will both be fighting it out for the number one jersey throughout the pre-season schedule and into next season.
"Chris will have a dual role at the club as he will also be the goalkeeper coach. I am also a qualified goalkeeper coach so will also be helping in that area.
He continued: "I listened to John Terry last week when he spoke about Petr Čech’s move to Arsenal and how the move will save them at least 14 points. I couldn’t agree more and it goes to show how important the goalkeeper position is.
“At this moment in time, I feel that experience is very important and I have given both the shot stoppers the chance to fight for the number one jersey.
“Hopefully the competition for the goalkeeper position will put an edge to their game that will see both players improve.
“After last season the slate is wiped clean and it is up to one of the goal keepers to impress me enough to earn the number one shirt.
When asked about competition for places the manager said: “I think competition for places is very important and I hope to have two players for each position. I hope to have two or three utility players, which will help the dynamics of the squad.”
