The Town manager has already recruited striker Jack Storer on loan from Birmingham City for the remainder of the campaign, and remains active in the market.
“We’re very close,” he told YTFC.net.
“There’s so many things that are behind a signing now as far as contracts are concerned, accommodation and insurance.
“You hope when that gets done you can come out and announce it but unfortunately I’ve not been able to do that yet.”
One player the Glovers have been linked with is former loanee Brandon Goodship.
The 22-year-old Bournemouth forward made ten appearances for Yeovil last term and Way admitted he is a potential target.
He said: “We went down to watch a game and there was a reporter there who linked me with signing him.
“He’s someone who has been here before and did fantastically well. He’s someone that fits into our system and he has been talked about it.”
