Yeovil Town are delighted to announce the signing of Jack Clarke on loan from Chesterfield until the end of the season.

The Aston Villa academy graduate returns for his second loan at Huish Park, having spent a short spell in Somerset during the 2020/21 season.

Clarke’s time at Chesterfield has been where the midfielder has made his name at National League level. He joined the Spireites on loan during the second half of the 20/21 season, helping them reach the play-offs before making the move permanent in the following off-season. Despite some injury struggles, Clarke has often been a key player in a Chesterfield side which has secured back-to-back play-off finishes.

Clarke stars for Yeovil during his last loan spell

In total, the midfielder has played 34 times for Chesterfield and has scored four goals. Subject to the correct clearances, he is available for tonight’s trip to Barnet.

Commenting after his loan was confirmed, Clarke said; “I’m buzzing to be back. I really enjoyed my first loan spell here, even if it didn’t go amazingly. As a youngster, your first loan isn’t always great but I made some great friends.

“It was funny to surprise the boys today, we have all stayed in touch, so it was smooth coming in.

“I played here for Chesterfield earlier in the season, the place was rocking that day, I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone at Barnet and especially on Saturday against Altrincham which will hopefully be a good home crowd.”

Clarke will wear the no.30 shirt at Huish Park and you can sponsor it. To do so contact MRobinson@ytfc.net or 01935 847888
