Yeovil Town are delighted to announce the signing of Ben Richards-Everton on a one-year deal following his departure from Barnet.

The defender, who stands at a towering 6 foot 5 inches, bolsters Chris Hargreaves’ options at centre back.

A product of the non-league system, the 30-year-old spent his early years playing across the pyramid, for the likes of Romulus, Cradley Town & Hinckley United.

He first played in the then Conference Premier (now National League), during 2013/14 with Tamworth. He made 42 appearances in all competitions that season, scoring three times.

His good form for Tamworth earned him a move north of the border, joining Patrick Thistle in the Scottish Premiership, before a short loan spell at Airdrieonians. A two season spell at Dunfermline Athletic followed before a return to England with Accrington Stanley.

He then remained in the Football League with Bradford City for 18 months, departing for Barnet in January 2021.

The towering defender now heads to Somerset ahead of the 22/23 season.

Speaking to YTFC.net after his contract was signed, Ben said; “I’m delighted to get the deal over the line and have it sorted. I’m really looking forward to the season.

“It’s been amazing (so far), the gaffer’s assembled a good team here. We’ve got a good group of lads who I’m really looking forward to working with.”

Commenting on Ben’s arrival, Hargreaves said; “Ben arrives with a vast amount of League and National League experience. He has been part of promotion winning sides and wanted to join the club.

“He is a real physical presence and becomes another valuable asset within our changing room.

“He’s been working hard to keep fit all summer and will be amongst the squad tomorrow afternoon.”

Welcome to Huish Park, Ben.
