Yeovil Town will kick off the new 2016/17 Skybet League Two season with a home game against Notts County at Huish Park.

The fixture, on Saturday August 6th, is then followed by trips to Luton Town, managed by former Glover Nathan Jones, and Mansfield Town. Morecambe visit later in the month with an away trip to old rivals Doncaster Rovers rounding off August.

Darren Way’s men wind up the season on Saturday May 6th with an away fixture against Colchester United; the last home game the week before will see Stevenage the visitors.

There is a quick reunion with Gary Johnson as his National League champions Cheltenham Town arrive on September 24th. The big home local derby with Exeter City is set for Boxing Day with Portsmouth visiting five days later on New Year’s Eve and another derby day, Plymouth Argyle scheduled for Saturday January 7th.

There’s no Good Friday game this season with matches being played on Easter Saturday and Darren Way’s side host Newport County before travelling to Crewe Alexandra on Easter Monday.

The two longest trips of the campaign see Yeovil trek to Carlisle United on Saturday December 17th and Hartlepool United on Saturday February 4th. Shorter trips to Plymouth (October 1st), Exeter (March 25th) and Newport County (April 15th) will attract large numbers of travelling Glovers for sure.

Another popular away sojourn for the Green Army is Blackpool, relegated from League One last year, and the away match will take place on Saturday January 21st, offering fans the chance to stay there for the weekend. The home clash is on September 3rd at Huish Park.

Just a reminder that the first round draw of the EFL Cup takes place at lunchtime today with the ties being played in the week commencing Monday August 8th.
