Yeovil Town progressed to the next round of the Somerset Premier Cup with a 4-1 win over Weston-super-Mare.
Gary Johnson named a strong starting eleven for the contest with Paddy Madden and Kieffer Moore selected to start up front.
It took until the 40th minute for the Glovers to break the stubborn Weston defence when Sam foley converted a a Joey Jones cross. The advantage was doubled just minutes later when a defender put the ball past the impressive Purnell in the Weston goal.
Five minutes into the second period Liam Fontaine nodded home a Ed Upson free kick to make it 3-0 before a Kane Ingram strike pulled a goal back for the visitors.
With just over ten minutes remaining the Glovers made it 4-1 when Sam Hoskins raced onto a James Hayter through ball to chip the ball over Purnell.
Whilst Hoskins was making it 4-1 to the hosts an off the ball incident saw the majority of the players from both teams become involved a fracas.
After the referee has defused the situation he showed Kane Ingram, Callum Laird and Luke Ayling red cards for their involvement in the incident.
