The Glovers left it late to pick up their first away win of the Sky Bet League Two season, with James Bailey heading home in injury time to earn a 3-2 victory.
Attention turns to home where Town are unbeaten in five games and they could equal their best ever start to a EFL campaign in Somerset with a positive result.
Way told iFollow Glovers: “Our home form has been good so we knew we just had to address our away form.
“After a win, the players gain a little bit more confidence.
“With the impact It’s had on the league table, hopefully the players have taken a lot of confidence from (the win at Chesterfield).
“If we get a result on Saturday it equals our best ever home start in the EFL.
“We’ve made sure our preparation and organisation is spot on leading up to the game and it’s important as a team with the new players we’ve got this year, they get better and stronger.”
He added: “We say to the players every game is winnable at this level,” he said.
“We’ve got results against teams that are at the top. It’s not easy playing the teams that are down and around the bottom.
“All we can do is make sure our preparation is perfect. I keep saying to the players as long as we get the process right and not focus on the outcome, we’ll get more results.”
