Mansfield are the visitors to Somerset in what is the final home match of the season, before the Glovers head to Lincoln on the final day of the campaign.
Securing mathematical safety on Tuesday night with a 0-0 draw against Forest Green Rovers, Yeovil will now look to finish on a positive note at home with a win against their play-off chasing opponents.
Looking to reach the 50-point mark at the weekend, Darren Way is hopeful for an entertaining match.
“Going into the match on Saturday, there was a little bit of tension on Tuesday which you could see early on so players won’t be playing with any pressure because that’s taken away now.
“They can go out there and enjoy their football which they should be doing anyway. Mansfield need to win so that’s a good thing because they’ll come at us.
“I know (David) Flitcroft – they played that way when we played against Swindon and I know the way his team will play so hopefully it will make it an open and entertaining game.”
Admitting to understanding supporters’ frustration with another campaign in the lower echelons of Sky Bet League Two, Town’s manager is hopeful of change in 2018/19.
Speaking to iFollow Glovers, he spoke of his hopes for next season and the importance of getting things right during the off-season.
“I’ve always tried to make sure that the team play with passion,” he said. “Games are not always going to go the way you want it to go, sometimes you’ll win it on just organisation, sometimes you’ll win a game on character and personality but supporters just want to win that’s the main thing.
“Our supporters have not seen a lot of that over a four-year period but what we have done is make huge progress to put the foundations in to be successful next year.
“The decisions we make now until a ball is kicked in August will be vital.”
