The Glovers suffered a first defeat in Sky Bet League Two since the opening day of the season when Phil Brown’s side visited Somerset at the weekend, but are straight back in action at home. 

Facing another promotion favourite in the form of the Dons, Town will look to get back to winning ways with a chance to move up to fourth in the table. 

Reflecting on the 3-0 defeat to the Robins and now looking for a response, Way told YTFC.net: “We have to hold our hands up and out of respect, look each other in the eye and say we weren’t good enough.

“It’s probably the first time I’ve had that with this group and I’ll be interested now to see the response because we’ve got the opportunity and inspiration to go fourth if we get that win. 

“we’ve got to make sure we regroup and are ready to go again on Tuesday.”

Having conceded just three goals all season, the Robins netted three in half an hour in a disappointing second half at Huish Park. 

Ending a six-match run of cleansheets, Way insists his side will learn from the defeat whilst not wanting to be too critical. 

“All I’d been speaking to the players about was complacency and what it means,” he said. “The players have been on a great run and I can’t be too critical with the group, but we will make sure they understand that Saturday’s performance was not us and that it’s not acceptable. 

“This group have shown fantastic character, leadership and responsibility throughout the campaign so far, so I won’t be expecting any hiding against a strong MK Dons side.

“The reward for winning is there to be seen, so it’s up to the players to do their bit to ensure it happens now.”
