16th March 2018

Darren Way’s side came away from Exeter in midweek with a share of the spoils to halt a run of three successive defeats in Sky Bet League Two.

With a point and a clean sheet under their belt, the Glovers now head to the Colchester Community Stadium to take on the U’s who are without a win in their last three outings.

Ready for the trip to Colchester, the Glovers will still be without the services of Artur Krysiak, Dan Alfei, Nathan Smith (all knee) and Jake Gray (ankle), with Oscar Gobern and Connor Smith facing late fitness tests after missing the trip to St James Park.

James Bailey returned to training this week following his lengthy knee injury, but a return to action is still too soon for the skipper.

For John McGreal’s side, striker Sammie Szmodics sits as top scorer with 13 goals to his name this season, backed up by Mikael Mandron (nine goals).

Looking to mount a late charge for the play-offs, United will be looking to improve on their last outing at home when lowly Barnet claimed all three points.

Head-to-head
Saturday’s meeting will be the 25th encounter between the two sides.

The Glovers are looking to improve on their record of 12 defeats, with just one win over the U’s in the last six.

Coming in November 2016, Francois Zoko and Tahvon Campbell netted late on to claim a 2-1 win at Huish Park.

Officials
Tom Nield (West Yorkshire) will be the man in charge on Saturday.

Mr. Nield will be assisted by Graham Kane (East Sussex) and Marc Wilson (Cambridgeshire) with Christopher Ward acting as fourth official.
