20th October 2017

Bevis Mugabi scored his first goal of the season at the Abbey Stadium – the first defender to find the back of the net in 2017/18.

The forward haven’t been shy in front of goal however, with Otis Khan (five) and Olufela Olomola (six) in good form.

They will be joined in the squad for this weekend’s match against Barnet by Francois Zoko who served his one-match suspension for five cautions in midweek.

Fellow attacker Jordan Green is doubtful but on the mend after a recent spell on the sidelines with injury, while Sid Nelson (nose) will be in contention again.

Barnet are on a nine-match winless run in all competitions and are missing last season’s top scorer John Akinde.

The ex-Bristol City frontman has only featured twice this season and his goals have been a miss for the Bees.

Shaquile Coulthirst has done his best to fill the void of Akinde, scoring eight league goals and winning September’s Sky Bet League Two player of the month.

Former Town loanee Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro should be in the Barnet’s squad.

Head-to-head
Town’s two visits to the Hive have produced last-gasp drama.

Darren Way’s were 3-1 down back in 2016 but fought back to win 4-3 courtesy of a breakaway, injury-time strike from Harry Cornick.

Last season, Liam Shephard was the man of the moment in the dying embers, converting from eight yards to salvage a 2-2 draw.

Officials
Andy Woolmer will be the man in the middle this weekend.

The Northamptonshire-born official has only refereed twice this season – both games in League Two.

Last season, Woolmer officiated mostly in the second tier, issuing 58 yellows and one red in 26 games.

He was last in charge of a Town match in 2015 where the Glovers drew 2-2 against Dagenham & Redbridge at Huish Park.

He will be assisted by Daniel Robathan (Bedfordshire) and Darren Blunden (Kent) with Stuart Butler (Kent) acting as fourth official.
