Darren Sarll was delighted with every single one of his players after a hard-fought victory over FC Halifax Town.
After being reduced to ten-men just seven minutes into the game due to Gold Omotayo being sent off, Town bounced back with Courtney Duffus finding the net in both halves to secure the first victory at Huish Park since October.
Speaking to YTTV, the Gaffer said;
“It’s one of those games during most seasons, I’d like to think where character and human quality really shone through. Some of those players played twice themselves.
“They really were magnificent, we’ll forget about the decision. The players got themselves organised, back into the game and we may have actually played better with ten-men.
“They were absolutely great; I was delighted for the two new lads (Morgan Williams and Gabriel Osho). I’m also delighted that (Stuart) Nelson made that massive save at 1-0, after he’s been getting some criticism which is absolute nonsense because he’s a top goalkeeper.
“I was obviously delighted for Courtney (Duffus) to score two goals. When he’s at his best he’s in that bullish fashion and he was definitely in the vein today.”
