Albi Skendi is delighted that Yeovil Town are finding form once again.
After a tough start to 2020, the Glovers have won back-to-back league games for the first time in the new decade, and the Albanian insists that he and his teammates are back to their best.
“It feels amazing, especially after the last two months. We’ve found our way again. Even at Boreham Wood we didn’t get the result we wanted but we set a standard.
“We wanted to follow it on from there, and the second win is always harder than the first and now we’re just on a roll and I think this is it, we’re at the most important stage of the season.
“We had three or four clear chances to score (in the second half), and I had one myself.
“We’ve got a few bad injuries, but it doesn’t look like it, we keep pushing on!
“It feels like we’re on that seven game winning run again, in the changing room, training, we’ve got that spirit and that’s what you need.”
Marc Richards took the headlines with his stunning strike which separated the two sides, and Skendi was full of praise for Darren Sarll’s latest forward addition.
“He’s absolutely shanked it into the top corner, it was a good goal, he’s a great player so that’s what we should expect from him!
“(Rhys) Murphy and Courtney (Duffus) are very similar, so the fact that Rico (Marc Richards) come in and he has a completely different game, he can hold it up, flick it on and good movement too.
“It allows Courtney or Murphy to make their own space and that’s where they’re at their most powerful, running in behind and causing trouble.”
