Yeovil Town are delighted to announce the signing of Chiori Johnson on a one-year-deal.
The 24-year-old has spent the last few weeks on trial with the Glovers, starting in the pre-season friendlies against Taunton Town and Exeter City.
An Arsenal academy graduate, the full back joined the Gunners when he was 8-years-old, and signed a professional deal in 2015. In 2018, he left his boyhood side to join Bolton Wanderers for a season long stay.
Heading back down South, Johnson ventured to Welling in November 2019 and spent one and a half seasons with the National League South side.
His performances for the Wings caught the eye of former Yeovil manager Gary Johnson at Torquay United, who secured his signature at the start of last season.
After a one season stay in Devon, Chiori now crosses the border to Somerset to sign for Yeovil Town.
Commenting Yeovil manager, Chris Hargreaves said; “Chiori has really stood out and impressed us during his time on trial.
“He boasts a strong background, having spent such a long period of time at an elite club like Arsenal, it has given him a great grounding.
“Having spent the last few weeks with the squad, he is ready to hit the ground running and I’m really pleased to have him on board.”
