Yeovil returned to Somerset empty handed after a 2-0 defeat against Leeds United in front of 25,351 at Elland Road.

Second half goals from Ross McCormack were enough to secure all three points for Brian McDermott’s side.
In the early stages both teams started brightly with Joel Grant and Alex Mowatt both stinging the palms of Paddy Kenny and Wayne Hennessey.
The next real chance of the match fell to Matt Smith after 20 minutes. Captain Austin jinked his way into the box, his cross found its way to Smith but the former Oldham man managed to kick thin air instead of the ball.
Just after the half hour mark good link up play on the left wing saw Davis get past his marker and into the box. The winger fell under a challenge by Lees but the referee awarded no penalty.
Yeovil were getting some joy down the left flank with McAllister and Davis linking very well.
McAllister’s pin-point through ball to Hoskins released the former Southampton man behind the Leeds defence. His cross looked destined for Dawson to tap in at the back post but Warnock was on hand to take the ball away from the Irishman.
The home side took the lead just two minutes into the second half. Leeds skipper Austin picked the ball up on the half way line and ran at the Town back line.
The midfielder looked up and played a neat pass through to McCormack who made no mistake in lashing the ball past Hennessey from just inside the area.
With just over 20 minutes remaining the home side doubled their advantage. A good advantage from referee Clark allowed the impressive Austin to feed a ball through to McCormack, who coolly slotted past Hennessey to make it 2-0.
Five minutes later Town could have pulled a goal back when a Joe Edwards from the edge of the area managed to go through the Leeds defence and narrowly miss the outstretched boots of both Grant and substitute Madden.
Despite being two down Town continued to push forward at the Leeds defence but couldn’t find the final touch to get on the scoresheet.
