Town recorded their third successive point at Huish Park on Tuesday night.
The Glovers tested play-off-chasing opponents Mansfield Town but were held to a goalless draw by the Stags.
It was the club’s 11th clean sheet of the season and Darren Way’s hold the impressive statistic of keep a first-half clean sheet in 76.47% of their league fixtures – the highest proportion in England.
Defensively Town have proved their worth in the 2016/17 campaign but, by Way’s own admission, the Glovers have struggled in front of goal.
Luton were the opposition the last time Yeovil scored more than once in a match (six games ago).
The Hatters are in a strong position in the table and sit four points off the top three in League Two.
Danny Hylton’s form has been the main catalyst to the Bedfordshire club’s fortunes in the division, with the 28-year-old netting 15 times this season.
Former Glover Nathan Jones has been in charge of Luton since January 2016 and has won 50% of his matches.
Head-to-head
Town have faced Luton twice already this season but are yet to record a victory.
The Glovers picked up a point at Kenilworth Road back in August thanks to Tom Eaves’ equaliser, but were knocked out of the Checkatrade Trophy by the Hatters last month.
A Ryan Bird double helped Yeovil to a 3-2 victory over Luton in 2015, with Stephen Arthurworrey grabbing Town’s other goal on the day.
Referee
Darren Handley was set to take charge of Saturday’s match but withdrew due to injury, meaning Kevin Johnson (Somerset) took over officiating control.
Today’s clash will be the fourth time Mr Johnson has taken charge of a Yeovil game this season, overseeing the 4-3 Checkatrade Trophy win against Portsmouth, 1-0 loss to Barnet and 2-1 victory over Plyouth Argyle.
Mr Johnson awarded 12 yellow cards in those three games.
He will be assisted by Louis Marks (Hampshire) and Andrew Quin (Devon) with Adam Matthews (Gloucestershire) acting as fourth official.
