Yeovil Town travel to league leaders Wealdstone on Bank Holiday Monday (3pm).

The part-time outfit have surprised many by climbing to the top of the National League table, and will be hoping to maintain that at the Vale.

For the Glovers, confidence will have been built after Saturday’s first victory of the season, and Chris Hargreaves will be hoping his side can take that into the game on Monday.

Chris Hargreaves’ thoughts

Team news

With two games in three days, we’re very likely to see changes to the side the best Dagenham.

Lawson D’Ath was seemingly struggling in the second half, whist Charlie Wakefield is unlikely to return against his former side.

After his stellar debut, Alfie Pond will be hoping for a run in the side.

A foot in the opposition camp

It’s been an extremely successful summer for Wealdstone, who have recruited a strong squad despite their part time status, including some former Glovers.

Rhys Browne chose to remain at the club whilst former Town loanee Olufela Olomola signed this summer.

Former Woking midfielder, Max Kretzschmar who had according to reports attracted EFL interest, also joined the Stones during the off season.

Have we met before?

Since their promotion to the National League after 32-years away, the two sides have met four times, with both sides winning once and two draw.

The first game lwas a thrilling 2-2 draw at Huish Park, with former interim manager Charlie Lee on the scoresheet and current Yeovil winger Charlie Wakefield starting for the Stones.

Later that season, the Glovers were the 2-0 victors at the Vale, with a certain Sonny Blu Lo-Everton playing for Wealdstone that day.

Last season, the Glovers fell to a 2-1 defeat at the Vale, before a goalless draw at Huish Park.
