The West Midlands outfit came away from Huish Park with a 2-2 draw a week-and-a-half ago, capitalising on Kevin Dawson’s dismissal to peg back Town who had taken a 2-0 lead.
Strikes from Ryan Hedges and Otis Khan put Town ahead, before a brace from Jack Byrne after Dawson received a second yellow earnt the National League side a replay at the Automated Technology Group Stadium.
The Glovers come into Tuesday’s fixture eight games unbeaten with four wins and four draws to their name in all competitions.
Since drawing with the Moors, Yeovil have played twice coming away from the Madejski with a 2-0 win against Reading U-23’s in the Checkatrade Trophy, before a dramatic 2-2 draw at Stevenage in Sky Bet League Two.
Ben Whitfield, who played just under an hour against Solihull at Huish Park and 90 minutes against the young Royals, netted an injury-time equaliser to earn a share of the spoils at the Lamex Stadium after Hedges initially put Town ahead.
For Solihull, their game at Huish Park proved to be Marcus Bignot’s last outing in charge of the Moors before departing to take over the tenure of Grimsby Town in League Two.
Liam McDonald has arrived at the Automated Technology Group Stadium from Hednesford Town to fill the vacant manager’s role, with his first game in charge coming against the Glovers.
Prior to McDonald’s appointment the Moors lost 3-2 at home to Dover Athletic in the National League, seeing them drop one place to 16th in the table.
Having never met in a competitive fixture prior to the meeting at Huish Park earlier this month, the 2-2 draw becomes the only result shared between the two sides.
Carl Boyeson (East Yorkshire) will charge of the match in the West Midlands, in what will be his 14th game of the season.
Mr. Boyeson was the man in the middle for Saturday’s game between Shrewsbury and Oxford United which ended 2-0 to the hosts with just three yellow cards awarded. In fact, the East Yorkshire referee is yet to brandish a red card this season, with just 44 yellows issued.
It will be Mr. Boyeson’s first match officiating a game involving the Glovers since December 2014, when he oversaw Town’s 1-0 defeat to Colchester United at Huish Park in a low-key game where no cards were brandished.
On Tuesday night Mr. Boyeson will be assisted by Rob Smith (Hertfordshire) and Steven Copeland (Merseyside) with Ian Dudley (Nottinghamshire) acting as fourth official.
