Yeovil Town’s hunt for a first National League victory continues on Saturday as the Glovers travel to Altrincham (3pm).

Despite still looking for a victory, Town have played some excellent front foot football, creating the fifth most chances in the league so far.

It’s a similar story in the hosts’ camp, with Altrincham also yet to win this campaign.

Chris Hargreaves’ thoughts

Team news

Ollie Hulbert has been a notable omission from the Glovers’ team sheet in recent weeks. Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Hargreaves confirmed he was struggling with an injury.

Bristol City loanee Sam Pearson is another struggling but could be involved on Saturday afternoon.

A foot in the opposition camp

It’s been a summer of change for Altrincham who have moved to a full time model for the first time.

This saw a lot of long term players depart the club and the need for new additions.
Just today, Phil Parkinson has added to his side with the signing of winger Egli Kaja on a short term deal.

Have we met before?

Our last trip to Altrincham was an eventful one. With Hargreaves waiting in the wings to be announced as manager, skipper Josh Staunton took charge, leading the Glovers to a 1-0 victory.

Prior to last season, since Alty’s promotion to the National League, both teams secured themselves three points at their own ground, with Yeovil winning 2-0 at Huish Park, thanks to goals from Rhys Murphy and Chris Dagnall.
