The Glovers are on the road for the second time in four days, travelling to Hampshire to face Aldershot Town on Good Friday (3pm).

After a difficult evening on Tuesday night against Gateshead, Yeovil Town will need an improved performance on Good Friday.

The hosts have been busy off the pitch this week, with major changes in the dugout at the EBB Stadium.

Mark Cooper’s thoughts

The boss spoke post-match after a defeat to Gateshead on Tuesday.

“Words are irrelevant now, it’s about quality,” said Cooper. “It’s about character, it’s about quality, sometimes saying nothing says a thousand words.

“When emotions are high, sometimes it’s important just to keep quiet.”

Team news

Miguel Freckleton returns to the fold after his one-match suspension comes to an end.

On the injury front, the Glovers aren’t expecting anyone to return, with the likes of Alex Fisher, Jordan Stevens Morgan Williams, and Lawson D’Ath set to miss out.

A foot in the opposition camp

It’s been a big week at the EBB Stadium, with a change of manager for the Shots. Tommy Widdrington has arrived from King’s Lynn Town and will be looking to take his good form with him, with the Linnets sitting second in the National League North.

The Shots have been struggling of late, and sit just one position above the Glovers in 20th place on 43 points.

Have we met before

The Glovers have endured mixed results against the Shots since dropping into the National League.

The most memorable of the bunch came in September 2019 as a Yeovil side managed by Darren Sarllwon 3-1 against the Shots at the EBB Stadium.

Our most recent trip to the Hampshire outfit saw Yeovil secure a 2-1 victory thanks to a double from Joe Quigley.
