Yeovil Defender Connor Roberts is on the verge of passing a couple of milestones this weekend should he play against Bristol Rovers.

Swansea loanee, Roberts has had a full season with the Glovers and could record his 50th appearance in green and white this Saturday.

By our records at YTFC.net, the Welsh full back is among some illustrious names in the Glovers’ history.

He already holds the record for number of appearances by a loanee in one season.

1st – Connor Roberts (Swansea) – 49 Apps* (and counting)

2nd – Steven Caulker (Swansea) – 46

3rd – Alex McCarthy (Reading) – 45.

But he is one of only five loanees* to ever make 50+ appearances, the other four requiring more than one stint at Huish Park to get the half century.

*Loanees that didn’t go on to become a permanent squad member.

1st – Jon Obika (from Tottenham) – 74 Apps – Four Loan Spells.

2nd – Shaun MacDonald (Swansea) – 64 Apps – Five Loan Spells.

3rd  – Max Ehmer (QPR) – 55 Apps – Two Loan Spells

4th – Stephen Arthurworrey (Fulham) – 50 Apps – Two Loan Spells.

5th – Connor Roberts (Swansea) – 49 Apps* – One Loan Spell

Should Connor go on and play in all remaining five games, he’ll end up on 54 appearances, missing just one fixture all season.

He missed the game vs Carlisle in March as he was away on international duty.

To make the feat even more impressive, all of his appearances have been full 90 minute performances.

Having never been substituted on or off, he has so far clocked up a minimum of 4410 minutes of action before including added on time.

He has so far been booked six times and is yet to score for his adopted side.

He has contributed towards 15 clean sheets as well as a number of assists going forward.

Speaking of Connor’s achievement, manager Darren Way said “What Connor has achieved in less than a year has been remarkable.

“To come in and play as many games as he has is incredible. Since joining us, Connor has treated the club as his own and you do not get often get that with loan players.

“He has worn the badge with immense pride and showed a hunger that I haven’t seen from a loan player before. He has been a great credit to himself and Swansea City.

"We are all proud here at Huish Park to have given Connor the chance to gain international recognition and I am sure Connor appreciates everything we have done to help him progress as a footballer.”
