Gold Omotayo is eager to right last month’s wrong as Yeovil Town face Hartlepool this Saturday (3pm).
After a last-gasp winner through Jason Kennedy, the Pools ended the Glovers winning run.
When speaking to YTTV, the tall forward spoke of his desire to set the record straight;
“When I came in, we won seven on the bounce, then lost against this weekend’s opponents Hartlepool, but I think we’ve got a good chance to prove ourselves.”
“The fact we lost the previous game, it makes it easier to motivate ourselves. You’re always motivated when it comes to the FA Cup, but I think it’s a good chance to show that we are the better team.”
“It was a close game last time, we thought we had something when Rhys (Murphy) scored the equaliser. We then conceded a late, late goal, but we’re prepared for Saturday and can’t wait.
After beating Haringey Borough in the last round, the green and whites were drawn at home for Huish Park’s first cup tie of the season.
Every football fan holds the FA Cup in a special place, and Omotayo is no different;
“The FA Cup is a special competition, it’s the biggest in England. We want to do well in it, and we’ve got a great opportunity on Saturday.”
“I’ve actually played against Liverpool before, but that was only a friendly. We want to go as far as we can, and if we get one of the big teams, we will be very happy.”
