The Norwich loanee was stretchered off after just 23 minutes of Town’s 1-1 draw with MK Dons in September following a heavy challenge.

After returning to Carrow Road for assessment following preliminary scans, the extent of DJ’s injury were revealed with the 20-year-old undergoing surgery on Tuesday.

Darren Way’s side wore ‘Let’s do this for DJ’ t-shirts during the warm-up against Exeter City last weekend, pledging their support for the injured attacker.

Making an impressive start to life at Huish Park, Jaiyesimi scored twice in 11 appearances for the green and whites to become a favourite amongst the fans.
