Yeovil Town FC are pleased to announce that Mark Robinson has been appointed as Commercial Manager. Mark joins the Glovers after long standing Commercial Manager Dave Linney announced his decision to leave the club at the end of this year.

Mark, who will start in post on 2 January started his career at Carlsberg UK, Northampton. He completed 17 years of service as a Technical Engineer before embarking on a life changing move to Dorset from Kettering, Northants with his wife, Michelle, and two children, Charlotte and Alfie.

He joined Dorchester Town Football Club as General Manager and successfully applied the professional standards obtained from his previous employment to the Non-league football club. During Marks time at Dorchester Town, the club grew year on year off the field, with dramatic increases in sponsorship and use of the conference facility that the stadium offers, as well as being instrumental in the implementation and growth of the new 3G surface at the stadium. All revenue generating streams to support the maintenance of the clubs finances.

During the last 2 years Mark has completed his UEFA B coaching qualification and used his knowledge to develop a footballing pathway to the clubs first team, Dorchester Town Football Club Academy was born, in 2019; this is continuing to prove a success with providing young talented players the opportunity to move along the pathway to the first team.

Mark also developed girls football in Dorchester in conjunction with the national SSE Wildcats programme, successfully generating interest and ensuring 4 teams were entered within the 2019/20 girls league at various age groups.

Mark brings with him his enthusiasm and passion for the game with his professional outlook and hopes to use his experience gained at Dorchester to support and drive growth in the commercial and hospitality sector at Yeovil Town Football Club by introducing new businesses to Huish Park and becoming part of a successful team.

Due to a reorganisation of responsibilities at Huish Park, although Mark will be responsible for the majority of Dave Linney’s current tasks, he will not be responsible for the club shop, lottery or match day announcement. Conversely however his role will include managing first floor activities.
