The Glovers three game unbeaten run came to an end after a 2-0 defeat at Meadow Lane.
Two quick fire second half goals from Stanly Aborah and Izale McLeod secured the three points for Notts County.
Town gaffer Paul Sturrock made two changes from the side that started the 2-2 draw with Dagenham & Redbridge a week earlier.
Josh Sheehan who played missed two games because of his international duties with Wales under-21’s was recalled in the place of Jake Howells, who had returned to Luton after a months loan. Jakub Sokolik was also recalled to start at centre back alongside Stephen Arhturworrey. Marc Laird dropped to the bench with Town starting with a 4-4-1-1 formation.
After a quiet opening period it was Town who had the first real chance to open the scoring. Just after the twenty minute mark the loose ball fell to Dolan 20 yards from goal. The former Hartlepool man let fly with a first time left footed volley, which went just wide of Carroll’s post.
At the other end the hosts thought they had opened the scoring when McLeod latched onto a pass from Aborah to chip the ball over Krysiak, only to see his effort rebound off the post for Arthurworrey to clear.
With five minutes of the first half remaining County midfielder Liam Noble stung the palms of Krysiak with a venomous strike from 30 yards, which the Polish shot stopper did well to palm away from any danger.
Ten minutes into the second half the home side took the lead. Neat footwork on the edge of the area by Adorah saw him upended on the edge of the area. The midfielder dusted himself down to curl the free-kick at goal, with the wall jumping the ball took a huge deflection to wrong foot Krysiak and give the home side the lead.
On the hour mark the home side doubled their advantage when McLeod beat the offside trap to latch onto a Campbell through ball to slam the ball past Krysiak into the Town net.
In the last five minutes Town nearly pulled a goal back when Harry Cornick’s cross just evaded the out stretched foot of substitute Iffy Allen at the back post.
