The 31-year-old limped out of Yeovil’s 3-1 win at Morecambe on Saturday after 44 minutes with a hamstring injury.
With an extra day to recover, Lawless will be assessed ahead of kick-off to determine his availability.
Speaking to YTFC’s official YouTube channel, boss Darren Way said: "He’ll be doing a fitness test today before the game, so we’re waiting on that one.
"One or two others are carrying the same sort of injuries."
Town are still without Otis Khan (ankle) and Nathan Smith (knee) who continue their recovery from lengthy spells on the touchline, while Darren Ward (knee) remains unavailable for selection.
Way will also be without Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro who is ineligible to face his parent club.
