The 21-year-old has been out of action with an ankle injury sustained in the Glovers’ Checkatrade Trophy win over Reading Under-23s on January 10th.
It is the first serious lay-off the former Barnsley man has had in his short career to date, and he is relishing the prospect of producing his early season form for the end part of the campaign.
“Rehab is going well and I’m improving everyday,” he told YTFC’s official YouTube channel.
“I’ve taken my boot off now and I’m doing certain stuff just to get the ankle moving again but when I come back it’s about getting my fitness back as I haven’t been able to do too much in the boot.
“Touch wood, I haven’t had many injuries really. This is the first one and I was unlucky with it. It’s part of football and I just have to get on with it, do the best I can and look forward to the end of the season with the boys.”
He added: “It’s not a nice feeling sitting in the stands when the team haven’t been doing so well.
“I really want to get on the pitch. It gives me motivation to come back and play because there is nothing better than playing week-in, week-out.”
