Swansea City loanee Hedges has been missing since Boxing Day with an ankle injury, while Khan (ankle) limped out of the Glovers’ Checkatrade Trophy victory over Reading Under-23s.
The duo are Darren Way’s only confirmed absentees from his squad and the Yeovil boss is looking for the rest of his players to stake a place in the starting line-up.
He told YTFC.net: “We’ve lost Hedges and Khan who are big, big players for us but Omar has taken his opportunity.
“I love that sort of impact players make when player isn’t available. It gives everyone a chance to step up.”
Way has also paid tribute to his medical staff for working hard to get players back fit as soon as possible.
He said: “I don’t think we’ve been without more than three or four players throughout the season so that’s a mark of respect to the medical department.
“Mike (Micciche, club physio) has done a great job and his attention to detail has been spot on.
“We want to keep that going and the more players we to select from makes it a better headache for me.”
