6th March 2020

Yeovil Town travel to Dover this Saturday (3pm), looking for back-to-back league wins for the first time in 2020.

After a strong performance against Wrexham at Huish Park last time out, Darren Sarll’s men will be desperate to get a run of results going with the promotion race finely in the balance.

Dover, who currently sit in tenth, are just four points behind Yeovil, showcasing just how tight this chase for promotion is. Most recently, the Whites fell to a 3-0 defeat against Solihull Moors.

We have previously met this weekend’s hosts on 37 occasions, earlier this season in November, the Glovers fell to a tight 1-0 defeat at Huish Park with now-Romford centre back Scott Doe netting the only goal of the game.

Prior to November’s clash, the most recent meeting with Dover came in 2002 where Yeovil ran out 2-0 winners thanks to goals from Adam Stansfield and Carl Alford.

A memorable Southern League clash between the two sides came in April 1976 where the Glovers convincingly dispatched of Dover with 5-1 victory.

Overall, Town hold a positive record over the Whites, with 14 victories, 13 draws and 10 losses, scoring 51 goals in the process.

Gareth Rhodes will be the man in the middle on Saturday afternoon, in what will be his first Yeovil match of the season. In the 11 National League matches Rhodes has refereed so far, he has shown 36 yellow cards and two red cards.

Michael Chard and Damith Bandara will be running the line and Simon Finnigan will be fourth official.
