22nd March 2019

After a three-game losing streak the green and whites sit just three points above the drop zone whilst Saturday’s opponents MK Dons lie fourth and only outside the automatic promotion spots on goal difference.

With a win for Darren Way’s side capable of causing further drama at both the top and bottom of Sky Bet League Two, Town will head to Milton Keynes in determined manner.

They’ll be able to do so with a strong squad to pick from with only Rhys Browne (hamstring) and Sessi D’Almeida (suspended) confirmed absentees.

Midfielder Alex Pattison (back) limped off last weekend and will have to wait and see on his involvement whilst Gary Warren (hamstring) could be close to a return.

Whoever makes the matchday 18 will be up against a Dons side who’ve won six of their last 10 but have failed to pick up maximum points in their last two outings.

A 1-1 draw with Stevenage followed a disappointing 4-2 defeat at Morecambe a fortnight ago, with Paul Tisdale’s side boasting two former Glovers in the form of Lawson D’Ath and Kieran Agard.

Saturday will be the 17th meeting between the two sides since 2006.

A first trip to Stadium MK since 2015, the green and whites will hope to find their form against the Dons from December 2016.

Meeting the then League One outfit in the Checkatrade Trophy, goals from Kevin Dawson, Francois Zoko, Alex Lacey and Ben Whitfield secured a comfortable 4-1 win at Huish Park.

The referee in charge at the weekend will be Andy Woolmer.

Officiating mainly in League One and the Championship this season, it’ll be his first game involving Town since the 1-1 draw with Barnet in October 2017.

Awarding 70 yellow cards and four red cards so far in 2018/19, he’ll be assisted by Adrian Waters and James Mainwaring with Darren England acting as fourth official.
