1st March 2019

The green and whites picked up an important three points at home seven days ago, as Courtney Duffus’ first goal for the club saw off Cambridge United.

Facing another side in the lower echelons of Sky Bet League Two, the hosts will look to build some momentum as they prepare for tough away trips to Lincoln City and Port Vale.

Looking to record consecutive wins for the second time in 2019, the Glovers will be boosted by the return of several key players.

Second top goal scorer Tom James is eligible after serving a four-match suspension, whilst fellow defenders Josh Grant and Omar Sowunmi could both return from ankle injuries.

Middlesbrough loanee Alex Pattison sat out the win over the U’s but is likely to have recovered from a back injury, to only leave question marks over Craig Alcock (knee), Gary Warren (hamstring), Sessi D’Almeida (shoulder) and Gabby Rogers (calf).

The Shrimps will make the trip south unable to call upon former Glover AJ Leitch-Smith who’s set to miss the remainder of the campaign with a hamstring injury, leaving veteran striker Kevin Ellison to lead the line.

Manager Jim Bentley is the longest serving manager in the top four tiers of English football having been in charge since May 2011.

Saturday will be the eighth meeting between the two sides with the Lancashire outfit coming out on top in five encounters.

The last two matches have been decided by a single goal with Town going down at the Globe Arena 2-1 and 4-3 in the last two seasons.

Yeovil’s only win came in March 2017 when Matt Butcher, Alex Lacey and Bevis Mugabi netted up north to record a 3-1 win.

Antony Coggins will take charge of proceedings at Huish Park.

It will be his second match of the season involving Town, having overseen the 1-1 draw with MK Dons back in September.

He’ll be assisted by Andrew Laver and Matthew Lee with Paul Lister acting as fourth official.
