After three wins on the bounce the Glovers have shot up the table, seeing off Notts County, Sutton United and FC Halifax Town in succession.
However, the gaffer is paying no attention to this rise when speaking to YTTV.
“I’m still yet to look at a league table or a form table, I just want to win on Saturday. When you break down football, all that’s really important is the next game and moving on from that as quickly as possible whether we’re in a state of elation or deflated.
“It’s not often over the past few years we’ve had seven days like we have just had. Over the course of a season, seven days is only a small part of it. All we’ve got to do is attack Saturday like we did to Notts County after losing three.
“I think this is the first time since I’ve been here that I can see some form from individuals. I can see it from (Myles) Hippolyte, (Matt) Worthington and (Luke) Wilkinson. (Carl) Dickinson too, after playing six games, he’s getting better and better every week.
“I think I can see little patches of form coming, but everyone has to be in form if you want to be promoted. You need to have a season where they’re more in form than out of form.
“I think whether they’re in form or not, (Charlie) Lee, Wilkinson and Dickinson are all important. Not just because they’re the senior players but because of their character. What they give in the changing room, Monday to Friday, they’re brilliant people to be around.”
Ahead of Saturday’s clash with Fylde, Sarll has added to his squad with the loan signing of Jimmy Smith from Crawley Town.
“He has potential to start this weekend, he’s a very good player. I worked with him briefly when I was in the academy at Stevenage. He went on to captain that team in League One.
“Whenever I managed against him, he was the focal point. I always felt if you could nullify Jimmy Smith you would come out favourably.
“He’s a great character, who is a great age and in good condition. He’s not at our standards yet in terms of condition.
“My first thought when I was told of his availability was, ‘we can’t, no chance, we can’t afford him, we wouldn’t want to come. Within ten minutes I found out we could, and we got it done quite quickly.
“It adds to our quality, our leadership and our character. Hopefully, between now and January, he’ll be a massive player for us.”
