29th August 2017

Last term, the Yeovil boss led his side to the quarter-finals after finishing top of group A above Portsmouth, Bristol Rovers and Reading Under-21s.

The Glovers’ opening game against Pompey was a seven-goal thriller at Huish Park before a draw at Rovers and another victory at the Madejski.

Fresh from three points at the weekend, Town have no injury concerns going to St James Park to take on Exeter City.

The Grecians are currently top of Sky Bet League Two following an unbeaten start to the season.

Striker Reuben Reid is top of the goalscoring charts with four, while fellow forward Liam McAlinden assisting three of Exeter’s eight goals in all competitions.

Head-to-head
Town’s last win over Exeter came in 2011.

The Glovers have played the Grecians seven times since without victory (D4 L3).

Last season, Darren Way’s side were 3-0 up at St James Park but had to settle for a point after a remarkable comeback from the hosts.

Officials
Oliver Langford will be the man in the middle tonight.

Four of the Midlands-born man’s games this season have been at Championship level.

Last season, he handed out five reds cards (season total) in six games, and 129 yellow cards in total.

Mr Langford officiated Town’s 3-0 loss to QPR in the 2015/16 Carabao Cup first round.

He will be assisted by Mark Russell (Somerset) and Mark Pottage (Dorset) with Savvas Yianni (Somerset) acting as fourth official.
