Cambridge were formed in 1912 as Abbey United.
Cambridge are also known as the U’s and play their home games at The Abbey Stadium which holds 8,100. Their home colours are black and yellow.
The U’s are managed by former Premier League player Shaun Derry, whose only previous managerial experience came with fellow League Two team Notts County. He’s been the Cambridge manager since 2015.
Cambridge’s Irish striker Barry Corr scored 12 goals in 22 games for the U’s, before being struck with a serious knee injury, which ruled him out of the last four months of the season. However, Londonborn striker Ben Williamson did more than a job replacing him, scoring nine goals in 20 games, which included a double against The Glovers in the latter stage of the season.
