Yeovil Town Football Club has come up with a new initiative for their Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Area Semi-Final match against Leyton Orient on Tuesday 8th.January, kick off 7.00pm.
The club are hoping to get 500 supporters to follow and support them at Brisbane Road, Leyton Orient.
Manager Gary Johnson will be paying for one bus to transport supporters free of charge down to London while major shareholders John Fry and Norman Hayward will also sponsor a bus each.
Directors and players will be doing the same and we hope to get buses individually sponsored so the club can take 500 supporters free of charge to support them in this very very important area semi final.
The club see this competition as massive and if they can eventually get to Wembley all this effort will be seen as worthwhile.
Manager Gary Johnson said of the scheme “It would be great if supporters will play a part in this great initiative.
“Tickets are £10 for adults, £5 for over 65’s and £1 for under 18’s and hopefully with it being an early kick off (7.00pm) people won’t be getting back as late as they may have thought.
“But we need you there and we need the noise and the support that 500 supporters can generate so let’s give ourselves every chance.”
Supporters will be able to book their place on a bus when they purchase their tickets and the tickets will be available at the Huish Park Ticket Office from 27th December at 10.00 am
So let’s roar The Glovers on another step closer to a Wembley Final.
