Remaining contracted until the summer of 2019, James has reiterated his commitment to continuing in the Green & White of Yeovil Town.
Operating across the back four and in midfield so far this season, the Welshman has featured 28 times scoring once – his first senior goal.
After making his Premier League debut for Cardiff City in 2014, the 21-year-old arrived in Somerset a year ago to continue his development.
Signing a two-year contract in the summer, James has now agreed on new terms as he continues to try and cement a spot in Darren Way’s starting eleven.
After putting pen to paper, James told YTFC.net: “I’m really pleased to have signed a new deal at the club.
“Hopefully now I can repay the gaffer’s trust in me and continue to improve and help the team push forward in the right direction.”
