Clive had been an ever-present at Huish Park for decades both in the stands and as part of his work running GS Laundry Service, before sadly passing away last month.
More than just a businessman, the 66-year-old also had a huge impact on local football with the Clive Gibbs Cup still competed for in the Yeovil youth leagues.
Having been diagnosed with cancer 13 years ago the Club were saddened to hear of Clive’s passing, with all staff and employees of the Club marking their respects on Friday morning as the funeral procession passed through Huish Park.
As a further mark of respect, manager Darren Way and assistant manager Terry Skiverton – who both knew Mr Gibbs well – placed a wreath and personalised Glovers shirt on Clive’s seat in the Tamburino Stand ahead of kick-off on Tuesday night.
Everyone at Yeovil Town Football Club passes on our deepest condolences to Clive’s family and loved ones.
