Yeovil Town have made their eighth summer signing by securing the services of former Bristol City defender Brendan Moloney on a two-year contract.
The 25-year-old right back graduated from Nottingham Forest’s youth academy, before going on to make 41 appearances for Forest between 2006 and 2013 as well as enjoying loan spells at Chesterfield, Rushden & Diamonds, Notts County and Scunthorpe.
Killarney-born Moloney signed for Bristol City in January 2013 making 49 appearances over a year-and-half stay at Ashton Gate.
The 6’1" defender has also represented the Republic of Ireland at Under 21 level six times.
Gary Johnson said: “As soon as I was made aware of that Brendan was available, we moved quickly to express our interest.
“We began talking to Brendan without the knowledge that Bristol City were interested in Luke. We didn’t know about Luke’s potential move until just under a week ago.
“I am very happy with the business our club has done, I was surprised that Luke went to Bristol City but both players are good signings for their clubs.”
Everybody at the club wishes Brendan a successful time at Huish Park.
