Yeovil Town are delighted to confirm an extended deal for Adam Smith to sign from Forest Green Rovers for the upcoming season.

Making five appearances across two loan spells, Smith now extends his time in Somerset.

Prior to his time at Yeovil, Smith had enjoyed stints within the Football League with Bristol Rovers, Forest Green Rovers and Northampton Town whom he won promotion from League Two with, earning himself a spot in the 2014/15 League 2 PFA Team of the Year along the way.

Speaking to YTTV, the new number one couldn’t wait to be back: “I’m buzzing to get everything sorted and get back into the swing of things.

“We had a little taste of it about a month ago, I just can’t wait to be back in now.”

Smith will know he has the full confidence of Darren Sarll, who was delighted to secure his signature for the season: “Adam is first and foremost a really brilliant character.

“We have a great faith that we can drag that little bit extra out of him, now is a really good time for that as he’s had some indifferent experiences.

“We feel now he’s at his most hungry and urgent to have a good year, so I’m really pleased we can get him in.”

Everybody at Yeovil Town wishes Adam all the best during his time at Huish Park.
