The 37-year-old and his players have made no secret of their ambition to reach the Sky Bet League Two play-offs this season and currently sit nine points from the top seven with a game in hand.
Way has also led his troops to the quarter-finals of the Checkatrade Trophy and feels a united squad will help them achieve their goals.
He told YTFC’s official YouTube channel: “I’ve been here many years now and the main thing has been togetherness.
“Everyone has to work hard – staff and players – because that’s the only way we’re going to get success and that’s the way we’ve had success over the years.
“We’ve had a group of players who have stuck together, accepted criticism and responded to it.
‘I have to make sure I remain focused and keep leading them in the way I feel they should be led and make sure the players play with confidence.”
Town travel to Adams Park tomorrow to take on fifth-placed Wycombe Wanderers (3pm). Tickets can be purchased on the day.
