The 38-year-old has been absent since November with a knee injury, but marked his return to the side with a goal as Town drew in Lancashire.
Strikes from Kelvin Mellor and Nathan Delfouneso fell either side of goals from Francois Zoko and Ward, with the Seasiders levelling the match in the 95th minute.
Speaking to YTFC’s official YouTube channel, Ward felt it was a good result for Town.
“Was it a free-kick (for Blackpool’s second goal?) Not many give them but it was, and we had to deal with it, but we didn’t and they scored.
“To come away with a point here is good overall. We’re gutted we didn’t get three, but a point is good.”
The Green and Whites have now led in two consecutive matches only to be pegged back, but Ward echoes his manager’s sentiments in that Yeovil aren’t far away.
He said: “Like the manager has spoken about, and we know, it’s a real fine line with small margins to win games.
“Like today (Blackpool), you need little bits of experience and times when you control the game a bit more.
“But that happens, and you’ve got to learn from it. If we do then we’re confident of picking up some good points at home.”
