27th December 2019

Yeovil Town return to league action with only one day’s rest, travelling to Sutton United on Saturday (12:30pm).

With the game being televised on BT Sport, Darren Sarll will be hoping it will be third time lucky, after losing twice in front of the cameras so far this season.

The Glovers could not come into this game feeling any better, following a 6-2 dismantling of Torquay United on Boxing Day.

Yeovil striker Courtney Duffus will he hoping to continue his scintillating form, scoring nine goals in his last five games, including a hat-trick against Torquay, Duffus is the league’s form player, closing Town on Rhys Murphy’s top scorer tally of 15.

Sutton United have also found form of late, most recently winning on Boxing Day as the U’s put Woking to the sword at Kingfield, securing a 2-0 victory.

Head-to-head

When the sides met at Huish Park in September, it was the Glovers who came out on top. Tom Bradbury’s first competitive goal for the club was the difference, in a game that was the second victory of our seven game winning run.

Before September’s fixture, we hadn’t met the U’s since 1999 when a Ben Smith strike was enough for Town to head back to Somerset with all three points.

Overall, our record against Sutton is a positive one, winning on eight occasions, losing six, and drawing three times.

Officials

Adrian Quelch will be the man in the middle at Gander Green Lane.

Quelch will be assisted by Christopher Myatt and Shaun Farrer with Sunny gill acting as the fourth official.
