Yeovil Town travel to York Road to face Maidenhead on Saturday afternoon.

After an 11 day break, Darren Sarll’s side will be raring to go on Saturday afternoon.

Having not travelled to Berkshire during the last campaign due to a shortened season, this will be the club’s first trip to York Road since returning to the National League.

Team news

Yeovil Town will be without long term absentee Josh Staunton who suffered a season ending knee injury against Eastleigh.

However, forward Rhys Murphy could return to the side after completing his isolation period.

A foot in the opposition camp

Maidenhead United currently sit eighth in the National League after a much improved 2020/21 campaign after narrowly surviving the drop last season.

Much of this success is down to National League top scorer Sam Barratt, who has nine goals, averaging one every 107 minutes.

Another man to look out for is full back George Wells. A summer signing from Slough Town, Wells possesses a deadly cross which can unlock any defence.

Manager Alan Devonshire will no doubt be delighted with the impact of his new signings this year. Devonshire is a well-known name to football fans, enjoying a sucessful playing career at West Ham United before settling in Maidenhead for a long spell in Berkshire.

The form

Over the last five games, Yeovil have turned a corner, picking up 12 points from the 15 available.

The pick of Town’s victories came against Weymouth, comfortably beating the local rivals 3-0 thanks to goals from Josh Neufville, Albi Skendi and Joe Quigley.

Maidenhead have two wins and three losses from their last five games.

Most recently, the Magpies put Wealdstone to the sword with a 4-0 home victory on Boxing Day.
