Yeovil Town will be looking to put Saturday’s defeat to Stockport County behind them with trip to Eastleigh on Tuesday evening (7pm).

The hosts have enjoyed a positive start to the season, and sit just two points outside the play-off places.

Whilst Yeovil began the season slightly off the pace, the Glovers have begun to turn things around and a victory against the Spitfires could send Town up to 16th if other results are favourable.

Darren Sarll’s thoughts

Speaking after Saturday’s defeat to Stockport, Sarll said:

“I think Tuesday is a great game for us to put things right”

“I had no qualm or doubt about the players attitude and enthusiasm today, but I felt we lacked that bit of composure and experience especially in the first-half.

“We’ve just got to move on from this now and ensure that we are well prepared for another tough test on Tuesday.”

Team news

Yeovil Town will certainly be without Lee Collins who has a three match ban following his late sending off against Stockport.

Injury issues also continue to cause a selection headache at the back for Sarll, as the likes of Luke Wilkinson and Josh Staunton remain unavailable.

A foot in the opposition camp

Since taking charge in 2018, Ben Strevens has sustained the Spitfires in the National League and even mounted a play-off push in 2018/19.

This season, the goals of October’s ‘Player of the Month’ Ben House have propelled Eastleigh to tenth, just two points outside the play-off places.

The hosts’ forward line also boasts the experience of 35-year-old Tyrone Barnett who enjoyed spells in the Football League with clubs such as Peterborough, Bristol City, AFC Wimbledon, Port Vale and Cheltenham Town.
