From the start of the 2015/2016 season Yeovil Town will be running a Category 3 Academy programme.

This will provide training and an elite games programme for young players locally and regionally, aged under 9s – under 18s, competing against other Football League Academies.

The Yeovil Town Academy’s aim is to develop and fulfil young players’ potential in order to provide the senior first team with future home grown players.

What is the role?

In line with the requirements of the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP) we are looking to recruit Casual Academy Coaches (u9s – u16s) to coach at the YTFC Academy and prepare our players for elite professional football.

The role will involve managing an age group and coaching and developing elite players throughout the Player Development Pathway. The successful candidate will be part of a team of coaches at our Category 3 Academy based at Huish Park Stadium, Yeovil, to implement a comprehensive and in-depth coaching curriculum which is individually tailored to each age group in line with our philosophy.

Monitoring and assessing players in both training and match performances will be an important part of the role, meeting the needs of the ISO and the Football League. Information must be uploaded to the Performance Management Application system for audit purposes and in line with EPPP requirements.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic UEFA B Licensed & FA Youth Awarded coach with significant experience of working in an Academy environment. Substantial experience and knowledge of the EPPP and ISO Audit Tool is also preferred.

Exceptional communication skills and a strong sense of leadership will be necessary in this challenging but rewarding working environment. Maintaining successful relationships with colleagues, parents, teachers and other appropriate persons will also be paramount in this role.

The successful candidate must also have excellent administration skills; ensuring record keeping (match reports and session plans) and fixture programming are completed to a high standard within the Performance Management Application.

Essential Requirements:
• UEFA B Licence

• FA Youth Award.

• Good personal and people skills

Preferred Experience:
• FA Advanced Youth Award

• Experience of working in an academy environment

• Experience of the EPPP and ISO Audit Tool
