Town made it six games unbeaten in Sky Bet League Two on Saturday with a 2-1 win at home to Colchester United, with Campbell opening his account for the season with a 90th-minute winner.
Now sitting in 8th and outside the play-offs only on goal difference, the West Bromwich Albion loanee was delighted to net the winner.
“The boys put in an unbelievable shift, so to get the winner that late was an amazing feeling,” he told YTFC’s official YouTube channel
“I was ready to follow the shot in, took it, moved it to the side and put it in. The feeling I got after that to win the game for the boys and continue the play-off push was unbelievable.”
Having last lost a League Two game on the 1st October, the Glovers sit second in the form table for the last six games with only Carlisle United picking up more points than Darren Way’s side.
Campbell, who was part of the Town squad that staved off relegation last season, revealed the players are enjoying the challenge of chasing the play-offs.
“The task has been set and we did what we needed to on Saturday. We move on to Tuesday now, hopefully for another three points.
“It’s a great environment here – when I came last season the gaffer took over at the same time and he instilled the same values into players last season as this season.
“The position was different to now, but now he’s started the season in charge we’ve set a task and are now putting it into place.”
Town’s next match sees Crawley Town visit Huish Park tomorrow night (7.45pm).
